WELCOME TO THE ASTRO BOY CORNER!

Created by, illustrated by, and written by Osamu Tezuka, Mighty Atom is the story about a robot boy built in the image of a grieving scientist's deceased son. 

Astro Boy's core design aspects are inspired by the cartoons Osamu Tezuka enjoyed watching. The design of Astro Boy's briefs and belt were inspired by Mighty Mouse. The horns on Astro Boy's head were inspired both by Norakuro and how Tezuka's hair above his ears would stand on end a short time after getting out of the bath. The horns on Astro Boy's head being visible from any angle is inspired by Mickey Mouse's ears.
